	Father	Henry Keine, parentage is confusing as Henry Keine & Isabella Girdwood immigrated separately to Victoria using their individual family names. However, Isabella appears to have been Henry Kiene's natural daughter as her birth was registered in Barony, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1851 listing both Isabella Girdwood as mother and Henry Kiene as father. Perhaps Henry and Isabella (senior) did not have the marriage lines that would allow family migration??

Notes	John Payne used the surname Templar when he married Isabella Kiene. His two eldest children were also registered under the name Templer. The eldest Ann’s death is also recorded under the name Templer. Isabella's Parents -- Henry Kiene was born in Hannover, Prussen, Germany around 1815. The only birth for that time period in the Hannover records is for a Heinrich Christian Ludwig Kiene born to a Johann Heinrich Christian Kiene and a Englel Marie Rienhardt on the 22 Dec 1816 in Volgelbeck, Hannover, Prussen Germany. Henry Kiene came out from Scotland to Australia in Oct 1852 on the Lord Warriston. His age is given as twenty-seven but he was probably thirty-seven given the age of his eldest son John and age at death. He died in 1873 in Victoria, Australia, age fifty-eight, the death date and age matching the above birth date. Isabella (nee Girdwood) Kiene came to Australia (possibly from Edinburgh Scotland) on the Ivanhoe in Sep 1853, age forty with three children, John, age thirteen, Henry, age six and Isabella, age two (all under the surname Girdwood). Isabella Senior died in 1869, age fifty-five. She was the daughter of James Girdwood and Christian Orr who married on 10 Jun 1803 Endinburgh Parish, Endinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. Christian Orr’s father was a James Orr. Isabella (nee Kiene) Payne had a sister Mary Christina Kiene born in 1855 and died in 1857 in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, age two.
